Town Honor 2009

PUNTO RADIO conferred the award TOWN HONOR 2009 to the Bilbao Symphonic Orchestra of Accordions; the prize was given to Amagoia Loroño, director of the Orchestra by the town councilor Ms Isabel Sánchez Robles during the celebration of the Aste Nagusia of Bilbao 2009.

Prize SAGUZAR

Amagoia y Asier Loroño, in the name of the Bilbao Symphonic Orchestra of Accordions received the award “HONORABLE MENTION OF 2008” by the Saguzar’s Bilbao Club.

Prize MAGAZINE BULLFIGHTING AND THEATER 2008

The prestigious Biscayan magazine BULLFIGHTING AND THEATER, awarded to the Bilbao Symphonic Orchestra of Accordions with their especial prize 2008 for its trajectory connected with the theater and music in general and in particular with the music of bullfighting. The other winners were the actor Arturo Fernandez and the committee of the bullring of Orduña (Biscay).

In a ceremony hold in the Arab hall at the city council of Bilbao, it’s Major, Iñaki Azkuna, recognize the Bilbao Symphonic Orchestra of Accordions with the mention of "Distinguish of the Vila of Bilbao" for being the cultural Ambassadors of the city around the world.

The conductor of the Orchestra, Amagoia Loroño, picked up the price and thanked it in the name of all the musician members of the orchestra, declaring: "we feel specially proud since we carry Bilbao in our history, our music, in our activity and even in our name".

"Honour Guest of the city council of Zipaquirá-Colombia", Order in Council nº 099-05 from the Municipal Major of Zipaquirá , on December 2nd 2005.

In a ceremony hold at the plenary sessions hall of the city council of Zipaquirá, it’s major, Don José Edilberto Caicedo Sastoque, recognize the Bilbao Symphonic Orchestra of Accordions with the mention, "honour guest" of the city of Zipaquirá cradle of the Cathedra of la Sal, one of the architectonical wonders of the world.

Tribute to Josu Loroño from the town city

December 11th 1998. In a ceremony celebrated at the Arab hall of the Town Council of Bilbao, it’s mayor, Josu Ortuondo , paid tribute in the name of the Vila of Bilbao to Josu Loroño Elguezabal, by his distinguished trajectory as head of the Bilbao Symphonic Orchestra of Accordions and his selfless labour in favour of the music and the accordion.

Tribute to Josu Loroño from County Council

January 31st 1989. In a ceremony celebrated at the Plenary Hall of the County Council of Biscay, the President of the Biscay Council , Mr. Jose Alberto Pradera, paid tribute to Mr. Josu Loroño in the name of the County Council of Biscay, for his labour in favour of the music and the accordion.
